Provides accurate simulation of processes in modems, radio equipment, and radio channel concatenation.
The simulator can be used to evaluate the robustness of vocoders and speech codecs, as well as to test modems, FEC and other modules designed for operation in real radio channels.

Features.

  • Available as a console application for Linux, MacOS, and Windows platforms.
  • Based on real physical process modeling: a fading channel with additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) and a baseband M-PSK transmitter/receiver.
  • Supported waveform types: BPSK, QPSK, 8PSK, 16QAM, 64QAM.
  • Arbitrary SNR values can be set.
  • Rayleigh fading shaping filter frequency response types: Rectangular, Doppler, Gaussian, Butterworth.
Note: Gaussian filter is suitable for HF channel simulation; Doppler ("U-type") filter is intended for VHF/UHF channels.
  • Supports both Soft Decision and Hard Decision outputs.
